Monotonix
It was Merlin's birthday last week and after making various windsock related birthday cards we headed to Nation of Shopkeepers to see Monotonix but not before Ben let Liam loose on his hair with the shavers,

RIDE THE SKY
Was speak to STP the other day about some jumps him and some friends have been digging over in notts. They got themselves a wordpress blog called "Ride The Sky" all looks pretty sweet. Apparently Scotts "line" at the jumps is "One fucking massive dirtjump!" can't wait to see some footage of that. Here's a video clip of their hipline—can't quite work out if the jumps are super floaty or that guy is just going mental high, either way, looks good!

Bing and Danny Dyer separated at birth?
I was watching Danny Dyers deadliest men the other day and the cockney choad wank spastic had to disguise himself as a bouncer so he could hang around with some bouncer lad and I reckon he ended up looking just like Bing, what do you reckon?
Monotonix @ Gaytion of ViceReaders
This band are from a country where music is illegal and you get shot for telling jokes. A bit like Will Hermann 2004 on the weekend, when they're out of town they just want to show off. Looks like it could be entertaining. It's this friday night and its only £3 in, street cider before hand cos drinks are well expensive there. It's also my birthday the next day so I wanna double party, nah meean!

some pics of stuff
A spot of mosh
I went down to the big stinky LDN the other week to go to Feild Day festival in Victoria park. It cost £30, there were 110 bands playing, I only bothered watching 1 (mogwai) as the rest were dog egg as fuck. Me Simon and Grandé Davidé drunk cider all day and got rained on, it was a good day out!
By far the highlight of the day, was when we were waiting outside trying to drink our cheap cans of cider as quickly as possible (they wouldn't let us bring them in, tight cunts). This band strolls up, sets up there right on the grass next to us. Acoustic drums, 2 amps for guitars and the singer was singing through a megaphone, they didn't really dabble in a soundcheck and just went for it. They were fucking sick, possible the best band in the world. They got kicked off by security after about 15 minutes, but not before they let everybody know how baddass they were.
A dab of internet research later and I found this video of them playing the 4th plinth at Trafalgar square. Think it ended in a similar result. If anybody knows anybody who's into promoting gigs we should get these guys to play the Brudnell! They're called bad guys and they're mint.

Photos from the weekend
Beddows just emailed to say he's put a few iPhone snaps from last weekend up on his blog. It was such a sad weekend that was also full of laughter, I really feel like everybody did him proud. As someone said to me, the only thing Charles wouldn't have liked was the fact he wasn't there. If anybody has any other snaps send them over or let me know and I'll link to them.

FixedGay
As we all know fixed gears are bent, especially when you live in yorkshire and everywhere is a hill. Anyway, enough of stating the obvious, check out these two birds doing synchronised flatland. Pretty impressive when you consider girls are normally rubbish at everything. Probably worth watching until the end so you can see one of them do a wheelie while the other one stands on her head!
