Proper BMX "Picture Box" Review

Yeah a DVD review... big woop wana fight about it....

So, last night I was treated to the viewing pleasure that is the new Proper DVD, and the pleasure I felt was how I imagined Mole's dick felt after it got electrocuted!

first of all it got me thinking that Proper has become a bit of a none brand in BMX of late, you tend not to really here a lot about them like you do other companies. They also don't tend to have a strong brand of riders which they try and force down your throat like 8 guys all trying to face fuck one girl. Other companies love doing this, if you ride for Metal it helps if you like mosh and being a bit mental, if you ride for Mutiny it helps if you like wearing wooly hats on hot days with v-neck vests read defgrip because The Come Up is not pseudo design enough and being a style guuyyyy, I could go on....

But Proper seem to have a wide range of riders which should be a good thing! but there whole thing seems confused which is exactly how the DVD comes across It does not know what it is.... Its not dvd about a trip, nor does it have sections of there riders its just fucked. Its like a Dog trapped in a transvestites body trying to lick its own balls but it cant find them.... It doesn't know what the fuck is going on!

The video it self follows the usual formula that most videos go for at the minute..

1) Timelapse.

2) Shots of the team chilling.

3) Shots of people's feet walking around usually filmed artsy by filming through a swirly fence... to be honest this looks more like a peeping tom hiding behind a fence wanking himself into a Jizz frenzy over peoples feet... but thats just me.

4) Shots of random shit, dog, pigeons, clouds, old people (O.A.Peados) and the rest...

In most videos of late these all tend to happen at the begging of the DVD or at the beginning of a persons section and can be very effective in setting the tone for a persons riding of the whole video if its done right this was not done right! If you want to see it done right See Below or watch anything by James Cox, Rich Forne or Matty Lambert...

Its starts off with that trendy thin typeface that was used on Mutiny's last Video Lets get Mystical, then it goes into the list above....But it never moves on from that, there will be to minutes of Dogs bumming, trains bumming, Clouds bumming a time lapse, cars bumming, people bumming as the walk around, and then you will see a clip of someone doing something but you instantly forget what it was because were back to all the trendy film bumming,

So in all this video is forgettable at best I can recall more shanks (shit wanks) than I can actual riding clips that appear in this video I would recommend not buying this and spending your money on a better video that is also in Black and white..... ANTHEM 2!

3rd month in

Tom Williams Travel updates...

Good Lad Tom is on his travels and hit me up with some stories... he may or may not have got with a Bangkok Lady Boy haha heres what he had to say...

1. i was in a wicked bad bus crash that i thought genuinely might have been the end of my days!
but bus stayed up and we all escaped uninjured
next...
went to find a cave and ended up bumping into a guy with a big gun, fully in the middle of knowhere.
he was on a motorbike and made us follow him further into knowhere.
turns out he was alright and just showuing us the way.
then...
on a sleeper train in india, wnet to sleep wth a full carriage. woke up with a whack in the head with the butt of a rifle!..
urns out it was accidental and the guy was proper clumsy. wrapped up fully so i could only see his eyes, he didnt notice he hit me or woke me up so i pretended to be asleep until i finally established he was actually a police man and not hijacking the train.
that time i proper shit myself
and a more light hearted one.....
might have possibly had a little slip up in bangkok
i'm pretty sure she was a girl.
